Youth Technology Corps born in 1998 in the basement of Morton East High School created an environment where personal growth and societal reform could be bound together by engaging teens as allies in solving the problems exacerbated by the digital divide and the lack of interest in STEM education.

We have defined our Three Pillars as YTC;

Leads, Connects, and Educates

in order to break down our approach to creating equity

in a challenged system.

YTC + Camp Kuumba

Since 2023, YTC has partnered with Camp Kuumba to expand access to STEM learning. In summer 2025, YTC students delivered hands-on robotics sessions to 180+ campers through short, interactive classes.

Young students participated in the sessions featuring simple projects like building LED circuits and exploring computer components. This evolving program emphasizes learning by doing and peer-to-peer teaching, benefiting both campers and YTC student instructors.

A YTC CLUB is so much bigger than a group of teens meeting after school. It is a movement, an idea thirty years in the making. A YTC CLUB is an engine of democracy for both access to technology and education. We donate locally and globally as well as Educate without Borders by creating the leaders of tomorrow with a STEM curriculum focused on Social Justice.
