SARGENT AND LUNDY FIRM DONATES OVER 300 COMPUTERS TO YOUTH TECHNOLOGY CORPS

YTC lundy donationWhen Chicago engineering firm, Sargent and Lundy, decided to upgrade their computers, Youth Technology Corps became the happy recipient of their used machines.  Sargent and Lundy staff teamed up with Youth Technology Corps President, Dave Finkel, and other YTC volunteers to load over 5 van-loads of computers, flat screen monitors, and other computer hardware which was delivered to YTC club rooms at Evanston Township High School and Morton East High School in Cicero. YTC students will learn technology skills as they refurbish and upgrade these computers for re-donation to other non-profits and individuals in need, both in the Chicago area and in Durango, Mexico.  Additionally, many of the Sargent and Lundy computers will be used to teach technology skills to under-served youth at the Youth Technology Corps free technology summer camp in Troy, MO this summer. Sargent and Lundy is an engineering firm which provides consulting and design services for electric power generation and delivery projects worldwide.  YTC is very grateful for their generous donation! – Margo Scholl
